Information We Collect
We collect information needed to provide PawLens and the features you choose to use.
- Account information, including email address, authentication identifiers, optional display name, and account settings.
- Pet profile information, such as pet name, species, breed, birth date, weight, avatar, and notes you provide.
- Pet health scan photos you capture or upload, including scan category, timestamps, quality checks, and related notes.
- AI-assisted scan results, summaries, confidence labels, urgency labels, trend data, comparison history, and health timeline entries.
- Vaccination and routine-care reminders, including reminder names, dates, status, notes, notification preferences, and push notification tokens.
- Subscription entitlement, trial status, renewal state, and purchase status from RevenueCat and the relevant app store.
- Support messages, privacy requests, troubleshooting details, and related app context you choose to provide.
- Basic security and reliability records generated by PawLens or its service providers, such as authentication events, rate-limit records, service logs, and support details you choose to provide.
How We Use Information
- To create, authenticate, secure, and maintain your PawLens account.
- To sync pet profiles, photos, scans, reminders, settings, and subscription access across your devices.
- To generate AI-assisted scan summaries and longitudinal trend comparisons when you request those features.
- To send reminders, service messages, and other app notifications based on your preferences.
- To provide support, troubleshoot issues, respond to privacy requests, maintain safety, and improve app reliability.
- To manage subscriptions, purchase restoration, trial access, and paid feature access.
- To prevent abuse, protect users, and comply with legal obligations.
Pet Photos and AI Processing
PawLens uploads photos you choose to submit so the app can store your scan history and generate requested AI-assisted observations. AI processing may include visible-change summaries, trend comparisons, urgency labels, and support routing. PawLens does not use AI output as veterinary diagnosis and does not replace care from a licensed veterinarian.
We use AI providers only as needed to provide requested scan, comparison, or support features. Do not upload photos or notes you do not want processed for PawLens features.
Service Providers
We use trusted service providers to operate PawLens:
- Supabase for authentication, database records, file storage, backend processing, and account deletion workflows.
- Google Gemini and OpenAI for requested AI-assisted scan analysis, longitudinal comparison, support classification, and support responses.
- RevenueCat for subscription entitlement, trial state, and purchase status.
- Apple App Store and Google Play for app-store purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds when subscriptions are purchased there.
- Expo push services for push notification delivery.
Subscriptions and Billing Data
PawLens receives subscription entitlement and purchase status from RevenueCat and app-store billing systems. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple or Google. Subscriptions purchased through an app store must be managed through that app store.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, PawLens may use push notification tokens to send scan reminders, vaccination reminders, account messages, and relevant service updates. You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
Retention and Deletion
We retain information while your account is active or as needed to provide PawLens, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our terms. You can delete individual pets and scans in the app where those controls are available.
You can schedule PawLens account deletion from Settings. Account deletion is processed after a 14-day waiting period. When processed, PawLens removes pet photos from user storage folders, deletes the Supabase auth user, and anonymizes account, pet, scan, notification, and support records so no identifiable information is kept on our side. Active app-store subscriptions must still be cancelled through Apple or Google subscription settings.
Your Choices
- You can choose whether to create pet profiles and upload scan photos.
- You can edit or delete pets, scans, reminders, and notes where those controls are available in the app.
- You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
- You can restore or manage subscription access through PawLens and the relevant app store.
- You can request support, privacy help, or account deletion help at support@pawlens.taufibd.com.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including authenticated access controls and user-scoped data rules. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
PawLens is intended for pet owners and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
International Use
PawLens and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. By using PawLens, you understand that information may be transferred and processed where our providers operate.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as PawLens changes. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a new last updated date.
